Understanding Arteriosclerosis: A Simplified Explanation

Arteriosclerosis, commonly known as the hardening of the arteries, is a condition that has been a topic of concern and discussion for many. For years the focus of study has been fat (lipid) management with particular focus on cholesterol.  However data shows us that 50% of the people that have heart attacks have normal cholesterol and 50% have elevated cholesterol.

The Role of Toxins and Inflammation

Our bodies are constantly exposed to a myriad of toxins, be it through air pollution, contaminated water, or the chemicals found in our food. These foreign materials can cause an inflammatory response within our bodies, particularly in the arterial walls. Inflammation is perceived by the body as an injury that needs repair.

Cholesterol: The Body's Spackle

When an artery is inflamed, the body releases cholesterol to the area.  Cholesterol can be likened to the spackle used to repair a dent in a wall—it fills and covers the damaged area. Cholesterol, being thick and waxy, adheres to the inflamed arterial walls to aid in repair.

Fibrin and Calcium: The Hardening Agents

Alongside cholesterol, the body also releases fibrin, the protein that makes up scar tissue. Fibrin overlays the area, forming a mesh over the damage. However, the stickiness of cholesterol presents a problem. Calcium, which naturally flows through our bloodstream, gets trapped in the cholesterol, leading to calcium deposits within the arterial walls. This accumulation results in arteriosclerosis, which physicians describe as a hard, cement-like buildup within the arteries.

The Misunderstood Villain: Cholesterol

There has been a significant amount of debate surrounding cholesterol's role in heart disease. Studies show that half of the people who suffer heart attacks have normal cholesterol levels, while the other half have elevated levels. This suggests that cholesterol is not the sole culprit. The real issues are the stickiness of cholesterol, the accumulation of calcium, and the presence of fibrin.

A Protocol for Health

We have developed an all-natural protocol featuring ingredients known for their anti-inflammatory properties, as well as components that support the body's natural processes related to fibrin and calcium transport. Our formulation is designed to promote overall wellness and support a healthy lifestyle.*

This simple protocol is informed by a substantial body of scientific research** It serves as a reminder that while cholesterol has been heavily scrutinized, it's actually the combination of factors—chronic inflammation, fibrin, and calcium—that contribute to the hardening of the arteries. By focusing on these aspects, we aim to help support the body's proactive steps towards maintaining cardiovascular health.
